How is Neptune different than other payment processors?

Neptune offers merchants an easier processing experience, with peace of mind as they scale. Neptune uses a proprietary payments system that combines both gold-standard PCI compliant processing with a global digital currency network technology to ensure that our merchants can scale infinitely. Our technology and processes ensures that merchants won't get shut down by any type of discretional oversight implemented by the consumer credit card companies or debit card issuers.

What are the fees to use Neptune?

We charge a simple flat rate of 5% per transaction plus 30 cents. Unlike other payment processors, we never change our rates post sign-up. We also require a rolling reserve to mitigate chargeback default risk, please click on the next FAQ for more information on that topic.

What is a rolling reserve?

We keep a rolling reserve of 3% of all charges in a separate account on behalf of every merchant. This is deposited into your chosen payout account at the end of every month, and the reserve deposit starts over at the beginning of the following month. The purpose of this is to protect all parties involved, the merchant, our company, and the end customer - in the event of chargeback disputes and associated reconciliations.
